Studio 2D excels at user interface and user experience design because we think logically as well as creatively. The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman is one of our favorite books. The All in One Place project was done in collaboration with 2wav for one of our mutual clients. 

Working with 2wav is always a pleasure because that programming team can do almost anything we dream up. We began with a client consultation and review of their documentation, then talked strategy. Design strategy always comes first.

Together we conceptualized the flow of the app. The idea is one app that holds all the information for your home. The project was sponsored by an energy company, and they believed that this app could make recommendations to their customers to save money on energy costs. 

Studio 2D designed the logo, color palette, typography, iconography—all the visual elements as well as the flow of the user experience. 

What you see below are the mockups for some key frames. The working app was a big hit with the energy company boss, but he was unable to get funding to develop the app further.
